A Note On Trigger Warnings
I write about a lot of dark themes and heavy topics. Many of these can be very distressing to people.
I want people to enjoy what I write. So if I’m writing about a topic I know could prove upsetting, I don’t mind listing out the warnings. If people still want to read it, great.
But I write heavy shit. Adult content. Disturbing themes. Existential crises. Topics that are genuinely (I think) disturbing.
At the same time, I know a lot of people who loathe trigger warnings. If you prefer to go into stories blind, go forth and conquer.
That’s how I do it. I appreciate trigger warnings on certain topics (animal cruelty, for example), but I don’t seek them out or expect them.
Basically I don’t particularly care if you use trigger warnings or not. I have no horse in this race. They’ll be listed here by story when I get around to it.
If you want to use the warnings, please do.
If you don’t, please don’t.
Trigger warnings are listed below. If you want to know about any not listed, message me. If you want me to elaborate on any of the triggers below, message me.
If the post is about a movie, trigger warnings for the movie apply. If you haven’t seen the movie I’m talking about, that’s a personal problem.
I will also include at the bottom a list of topics that I will never include in my writing. Because I don’t want to write them. Ever. Consider this a general overview to use at your discretion.
Enjoy.
