Last year, I read less than I have in a very long time. This is due in large part to the fact that the past 12 months have been fairly tumultuous for a variety of fun and exciting reasons that in no way negatively impacted me.
I think I speak for a lot of people that, despite some sterling moments, 2023 pretty much sucked overall. So I forgive Past Me for reading less than usual. This year I intend to do a lot more reading and writing. My other goal is to only read books I haven’t read before. Oh, and to remember that I have a Kindle.
Books marked with * are rereads. I didn’t include books I reread pretty regularly, like Hogfather by Terry Pratchett or The Phineas Poe series by Will Christopher Baer. Everything on this list is highly recommended. You can follow most of these authors on social media - links in my Instagram post.

So fuck 2023 and all the bullshit it brought us.I have no idea if 2024 is going to be better, but I’m definitely better equipped to deal with it.
And as always, whatever happens good or bad, there will be books.
